A GALASHIELS business was forced to shut today after two cars careered off the road and smashed into its window.
The first incident is said to have happened at around 5.30pm yesterday at Clockwork Mortgages in Channel Street.
A spokesperson told us: "I was called by the police to come across and check the window was safe.
"When I arrived another vehicle had hit the property and done all the damage.
"Another car then went into the back of him. Fortunately no one was in the office."
No one was hurt, but the shop had to be closed while the windows were boarded up.
It is hoped the business will be open again tomorrow.
