FASHION will come to the fore in Galashiels next week.

The MacArts Centre is set to showcase a range of vintage clothing – all to raise money for charity.

The show is being hosted by a group of students from Heriot Watt university and the cash raised is being donated to the Bridge Street venue as well as Cancer Research.

Rachael Alexander, who is a fashion communication student at the uni, told the Border Telegraph: “We are having the event on Saturday, March 10 and there will be stalls and a bar as well as a great fashion show with all vintage clothing.

“We want to raise as much money for both charities as we possibly can as MacArts is such a great venue working hard to bring great entertainment to Gala.

“And of course cancer research is something everyone in some way can relate to and understand the importance of.”

The event will run from 7pm until 9pm.

Tickets, which cost £4, can be purchased from the MacArts centre, the student union office at Heriot Watt, Nether Road, Galashiels or by emailing rka3@hw.ac.uk
