A SELKIRK business has been named the South of Scotland’s Florist of the Year.
Flower Expressions beat off fellow nominees Edelweiss in Galashiels; Flowers of Melrose; Lily of the Valley in Hawick; and Buds in Lockerbie; in the south category at the Scottish Wedding Awards on Monday night.
The business, located near the town’s Market Place, is run by Sandra Shafto and her family.
A total of 25 awards were handed out at the ceremony.
The evening celebrated the high standard of work and commitment of those in the Scottish wedding industry who go above and beyond to make a couple’s special day the best it can possibly be.
And the event also helped to raise £2,745 for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice.
Irfan Younis, CEO of Creative Oceanic said: “It’s really great to see the innovative new ideas the talent within the industry.
"We would like to congratulate all our nominees and winners and we are looking forward to welcoming you all again to the Scottish Wedding Awards 2019.”
