A HAWICK man has appeared in private at Selkirk Sheriff Court after police seized around £3,000 worth of heroin.
Thirty-seven-year-old Stuart Rutherford is charged with being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug and possession of an offensive weapon.
It follows a Police Scotland operation at a house in Silverbuthall Road on Tuesday morning which also involved searching a car.
Police say heroin, drugs paraphernalia, knives and cash were recovered.
Rutherford made no plea and case was continued for further examination.
He was released on bail.
