RESIDENTS at Melrose's Priorwood Court played host to a very special guest recently.
Borders rugby star Doddie Weir met with staff and tenants at the home to receive a cheque for £1,442.00.
The money was raised by the tenants by holding a raffle and collecting loose change over a number of months,
And the raffle prizes were kindly donated by local businesses and hotels.
The cheque presentation was carried out by Andrew Lockie, the longest living Melrose rugby player. He is pictured above with Doddie, plus Gary Armstrong and staff from Priorwood Court.
