A GALASHIELS man involved in a violent struggle with his wife at a Selkirk hotel has been fined £350.
Thirty-one-year-old Ashley Dickie of Larch Grove, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the Heatherlie House Hotel in Selkirk where his wife was working at the time in July last year.
Selkirk Sheriff Court was told the offence happened when they were arguing about where they were going to live and ultimately led to the end of their 14-year relationship.
Sheriff Raymond McMenamin told the first offender he had lost his temper to a significant degree but accepted there was stress on him and his wife at the time.
