HAVING been cancelled for the past two years, Ettrick Sports made a welcome re-appearance in the valley on Saturday afternoon.
The overall men’s points winner was Ramseycleuch herd Thomas Bryson, while the ladies’ title went to Kirsty Skea.
Over 100 adults and children attended this year’s event, with all the races well contested.
“It was lovely to have the event back on the calendar,” said sports secretary Ann Blundell, “and to see all the hard work behind the scenes pay off.
“Visitors from as far away as London and Perth made special trips to be here, and there was a great community spirit throughout the afternoon.”
Trophy winners - Napier Cup, Thomas Bryson; Chrissie Thomson Trophy, Kirstie Skea; Jim Dodds Shield (long jump), Thomas Bryson; Jim Reid Memorial Trophy (shot put), Derek McFadzen.
