A MAN has died following a collision on the A68 on Monday morning.
The collision, which involved a HGV and a Mini, occurred at around 7.29am on the A68 at Rochester in Northumberland, around ten miles south of the Carter Bar.
Sadly, a man – the driver of the Mini - died as a result of the collision.
An identification process of the male driver is now underway.
The road was shut for more than nine hours to allow an investigation to be carried out and a clear-up operation to take place.
The road later reopened at around 4.30pm.
Police are keen to hear from anybody who witnessed the collision to assist them with their ongoing enquiries.
