A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a Galashiels woman who failed to turn up at Selkirk Sheriff Court to answer alleged benefit fraud charges involving more than £9,000.
Lindsay Gemmell, 29, of Marmion Road, is said to have received £2338.90 in Employment Support Allowance when her partner shared the household between February 14, 2014, and October 2 that same year.
As a single parent she is also accused of claiming Income Support of £6865.10 between October 2014 and September 2016, to which she was not entitled.
Gemmell faces a third charge of receiving £292.40 in benefits she was not entitled to over a month in 2016.
