POLICE are continuing to treat the death of man in Newtown St Boswells last week as unexplained.
The man's body was discovered last Monday evening following a call to the emergency services.
Forensics officers remained at the Whitefield Crescent property throughout Tuesday and Wednesday.
Investigating officers said this week that the cause of the man's death is still to be fully established.
A spokesman for Police Scotland told the Border Telegraph: "Police in the Scottish Borders were called to Whitefield Crescent, Newton St Boswells, at around 8pm on Monday, November 9 following a report of concern for a person.
"The body of a man was found within and the death is currently being treated as unexplained pending further enquiries.
