A FORD Ranger 4x4, two trailers and a lawnmower have been stolen from a Borders Industrial Estate.

The incident happened around 3am on Monday (June 4) at the Charlesfield Industrial Estate in St Boswells.

Three men left a silver BMW saloon car and forced entry to the premises before stealing a Ford Ranger 4x4, with the registration number SK52 MVE and an IFOR Williams trailer, which it was towing.

A smaller IFOR Williams was also taken along with a Cabotta lawnmower.

The large trailer has registration number DX18 XHB, while the smaller one has registration number MF18 PXX. The lawn more has registration number SF18 OBM.

Inquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

The men are described only as wearing dark clothing.

Detective Sergeant Callum People from Galashiels CID said: "At this time we are working to establish where the stolen 4x4, trailers and lawn mower may now be, and anyone who has seen them since the early hours of Monday morning is urged to contact police immediately.

"The culprits may look to sell on the trailers and lawn mower, and use the vehicle to commit further crimes and so we'd ask the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings.

"Anyone who saw any suspicious activity around the Charlesfield Industrial Estate, including the silver BMW and its occupants, should also get in touch."

Those with information can contact Galashiels CID via 101 and quote incident number 671 of June 4.
