MAINTENANCE work, to improve the durability and extend the working life of the road surface on the A68 Ravenswood Roundabout is getting underway next week as part of Transport Scotland’s on-going trunk roads maintenance programme.
Some 18,000 vehicles use this route on a daily basis and by undertaking the bulk of the work at night inconvenience to these road users will be minimised.
Roads contractor Amey will start the £190,000 programme on Monday 17th November and it will be completed on Thursday 27th November.
The maintenance work will take place at the times set out below: · Monday 17th – Friday 21st: from 7pm to 8am · Friday 21st – Saturday 22nd from 7pm to 10am · Saturday 22nd – Sunday 23rd from 7pm to 12 noon · Sunday 23rd – Thursday 27th from 7pm to 8am Traffic lights and a convoy system will be used during these times to keep the travelling public and road workers safe.
