Police seize £7000 worth of drugs in raids

POLICE recovered Class B drugs with a combined value of £7000, following raids on two addresses in the Borders this week.

Officers seized quantities of the illegal drug 4 Methylecation (known as 4-MEC) in raids on the properties in Hugh McLeod place, Hawick, and Farriers Court, Kelso on Wednesday.

Various other items relating to the supply of drugs were also seized.

Two people, aged 56 and 24, have been arrested and charged in connection with alleged drugs offences, and are due to appear at Jedburgh Sheriff Court today (Thursday).
