EMERGENCY services have been called to Galashiels following a report of a youth being knocked down by a car near the town's secondary school.
Police have confirmed they received a call-out to the incident in the town's Church Street this afternoon (Tuesday) around 4pm.
An ambulance was also called out to the scene, close to Galashiels Academy, after the alarm was raised.
A police spokesperson confirmed the youth was "conscious and breathing".
