A 54-year-old Galashiels man has been jailed for 14 days after refusing to accept an alternative community-based sentence.
Leslie Wright was found guilty after a trial of behaving in a threatening manner during a neighbourly dispute and throwing eggs at the window of a house in Woodside Place in Novermber 2014.
But he told Selkirk Sheriff Court he would not pay a fine, carry out unpaid work in the community or abide by a restriction of liberty order.
Wright said:"I disagree with the conviction."
Sheriff Peter Paterson pointed out Wright had not lodged an appeal against the conviction.
He added he was left with no alternative but to send Wright to prison for a fortnight.
