MORE than £600 was raised for charity on Saturday as Galashiels' first colour run took place at Netherdale.
The five kilometre run around Heriot-Watt's Scottish Borders Campus attracted around 80 runners of all abilities.
And the event, which had been twice postponed due to the weather, raised £619.87 for mental health charity, SANE, as well as Live Borders.
Lucy Graham, vice president at the Heriot-Watt’s Scottish Borders Campus, said: "We’re delighted that the weather held for us – in fact it was perfect running weather.
"Everyone taking part had a great time and they also raised money for two well deserving charities.
"Our total so far looks to be £619.87, which will be split between SANE and Live Borders.
"I would like to thank Live Borders, Scottish Borders College and Heriot-Watt University for organising the event and of course a big thank you to everyone who took part."
