POSTMEN and women across the TD postcode area have delivered a truly First Class service to their customers, according to the latest independent figures.

Royal Mail's First Class quality of service - measuring how many First Class stamped letters arrived the next working day after posting - hit 94.5% in the TD postcode area - beating the 91.5% target set by the postal

services regulator Postcomm.

The figures for the first half of 2009-1010 showed what a fantastic job Royal Mail's posties do for their customers as they prepare to deliver a first class Christmas service.

Royal Mail's Scottish Affairs Director, Ian McKay, said: "Our people throughout the TD postcode area have done a fantastic job to beat the quality of service targets. We are now pulling out all the stops to deliver the best possible service to our customers over the Christmas period."
