THE Border Telegraph has launched its first ever online poll to decide the winner of the 2012 Braw Lads' Gathering Best Dressed Window Competition in Galashiels.

Photographs of staff at each of the shops and businesses entered have been uploaded to our page on social-networking site Facebook.

And, in a new twist this year, your - our readers - will be asked to vote for their favourite. Whichever store receives the most 'Likes' before the competition closes at midnight on Monday, June 25, wins.

We invited staff in stores and offices throughout the town, to roll out the bunting and showcase your shopfronts ahead of a week of festivities.

The winning window will win the Border Telegraph shield and a special prize and there are goodies for the runner-up as well.

Last year the trophy was won by local pharmacy M Farren Limited in the town's Bank Street, while charity Links Together, which has a shop in Lawyers Brae, was named runners-up.

The Braw Lad Ryan Mania and Braw Lass Nicola Mackay will present the prizes.
