A SCHOOL in the Borders is celebrating putting Children 1st.
Balmoral Primary School in Galashiels has raised a total of £1088 for the children’s charity over the last few years - mainly by participating annually in its Kilts for Kids campaign and wearing tartan to school for a day.
And, to say thank you, pupils received a visit for Children 1st mascot Angus, the Highland Cow.
A spokesperson for the children’s charity said: “We are delighted to have such continued support which will help to provide happier, healthier, safer and secure childhoods for children in the Borders and throughout Scotland.”
