WORLD Thinking Day is a day of friendship for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world.

Each year, Girl Guides and Girl Scouts celebrate by learning about their international sisters around the world, while having fun and completing educational activities.

Galashiels District celebrated Thinking Day with a Paddington Bear Theme in Galashiels Academy, supporting Action Medical Research where they raised £614.19 by collecting money in Smarties tubes.

Representatives from Action Medical Research joined us earlier this month to accept the cheque at the Kingsknowes Galashiels.

A debt of gratitude goes to Alison Henry who says farewell after 30 years of Service.
