A CROWD of more than 800 people, young and old alike, turned out for the inaugural Winter Festival in Jedburgh.
And it proved such a success there are already plans to repeat it next year.
Santa, along with the town’s pipe and brass bands, led a torchlit procession from the Grammar School to the Market Square on his sleigh.
And Oxnam Valley Voices led carol singing before the tree lights were switched on.
The parade then continued to the Town Hall where mince pies and mulled wine toasted a special Christmas market.
