It is believed to be the biggest Hogmanay party in the Borders.

And now it has been confirmed as one of the top 25 events in the region over the course of the year.

Melrose and District Community Council organise the town’s annual New Year celebrations which boast a 15 minute fireworks display. And everyone is invited.

The roads to the town centre will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, December 31, from 11.45pm and motorists are advised not to leave their cars parked in the area.
