CHANGE of Ownership at the Hoebridge Inn means a temporary change of venue for Melrose Rotary.

The meeting of Melrose Rotary on Thursday, September 4, was the last under the current owners Kerr and Elaine Marrian. Kerr and Elaine have owned the Hoebridge Inn in Gattonside since 2005 and have provided a meeting place, and an excellent meal, for Melrose Rotary members every Thursday for many years now. In making a small presentation to Elaine, Rotary President Richard Salem thanked her for making members feel more like very welcome guests in her home rather than customers, and passed on his thanks to Kerr for his consistently wonderful meals.

After almost 10 years Kerr and Elaine have decided to make a change and have sold the Hoebridge Inn.

The Inn closed on September 7, the new owners intend to open up again just as soon as all the legalities are completed, this is expected to be in late October early November. In the interim the Kings Arms, Melrose, have agreed to host the regular weekly meetings, and meal, for Melrose Rotary and anyone wishing to visit Melrose Rotary should note that for the next couple of months meetings will be at the Kings Arms Hotel, High Street, Melrose, starting at 6pm for 6.30pm.
