A BORDER MSP has branded repeated mobile signal outages in Peebles as 'simply unacceptable'.

Last week, we revealed that nearly 20 outages have occurred at EE's telephone mast in the town since April.

The recurring issues have left residents and businesses across Peebles with no network signal and unable to make calls, send texts, or access the internet.

After the issues were highlighted, the telecommunications company pledged to monitor its mobile phone signal in the area.

Tweeddale MSP Christine Grahame (SNP) told us: "I have had over the months complaints about the service from EE and appreciate the disruption to my constituents both personal and business is at the very least disappointing.

"With many relying entirely on their mobile connections it is simply not good enough.

"I have again written to EE enquiring as to the reasons for these disruptions, whether it will ensure these breakdowns cease and requesting compensation for losses directly attributable to loss of service."
