Woman trapped in A68 crash

EMERGENCY services are battling to free a woman trapped in a car on the A68.

Firemen are using hydraulic tools to cut into the vehicle following a head-on collision between a van and a car.

Two people have already been taken to the Borders General Hospital.

Details of their condition have not been released.

The incident happened at Leaderfoot on the A68 near Melrose at around 10.30 a.m.
