Galashiels man faces underage sex charge

A GALASHIELS man has appeared in private accused of having unlawful sexual intercourse.

Allan MacDonald of Douglas Place, is charged with having sex with a girl under the age of 16 back in April.

The 27-year-old made no plea or declaration at Selkirk Sheriff Court and the case was continued for further examination.

MacDonald was released on bail by Sheriff Kevin Drummond with special conditions.
