A ROAD worker whose £2,000 trailer was stolen from a site near Selkirk has offered a reward to catch the culprits.
The 16 foot Ifor Williams trailer went missing from the roadway near the Tushielaw Inn on Tuesday night.
And owner Roger Gillespie from Hawick has now offered £500 to see the thieves brought to justice.
Mr Gillespie was working on a damaged road in the area at the beginning of the week, and his son reported the trailer missing on Wednesday.
He suspects the thieves may have been driving a large vehicle such as a lorry.
If you have any information regarding the theft contact Hawick Police Station on 01450 375 051.
