BORDERS police have joined in the hunt for a missing Northumberland man.

David Wright has not been seen since last Saturday. The 55-year-old was last spotted in Morpeth at around 9.40am - he told friends he was going to the shops.

He is described as being around 5ft 8ins tall, with short sandy coloured hair in a side parting.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said: "When he was last seen he was wearing a khaki coloured shirt, black trousers, black trainers and a dark jacket. "

David has been reported missing before and was found in the Aberdeen area.

Anyone with any information regarding David's whereabouts is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 03456 043 043 ext: 69191
