Fisherman pulled from Ettrick Water identified

POLICE can now confirm the identity of the man who was found dead within the River Ettrick in Selkirk on Tuesday.

He is 68-year-old Jim Corrigan from Falkland in Fife.

Mr Corrigan had been fishing at The Cauld near Ettrickhaugh Road when he passed away.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
