GOING beyond the call of duty is what many members of staff are doing regularly at Borders College.
And a few of the outstanding ones were recognised earlier this month at the annual Christmas Star Awards ceremony.
Members of the College's Management Team, the Principal and representatives of the Board of Management were all in attendance.
Lynn Retallick won the Outstanding Customer Service category, while Elma Graham came out on top in the Innovation and Good Practice section.
Collaborative Working went to Gert Riddell with Kenny Thomson being the top Role Model.
The College's ICT Team were awarded the Outstanding Team Performance trophy, and both Tracey Whitmore and Carolyn Chapman were given stars in the Just Because category.
A spokeswoman for Borders College told us: "These awards are presented to members of staff who have been identified and nominated by their colleagues as individuals who are not just doing their job but are working above and beyond the call of duty to provide outstanding service."
