Police hunt for intruder in Galashiels
DETECTIVES are hunting for an intruder who sneaked into an elderly woman's home last Thursday.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was disturbed by the Windyknowe Road householder just after 1.30pm.
And she managed to chase him out of her property before calling her daughter to raise the alarm.
The intruder is described as being in his early 30s with short black hair and wearing a black jumper and black jeans.
A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police told us: "This was very alarming for the lady."
It is not believed the man stole anything before he was chased. Anyone with information should contact Galashiels Police Station.
