Council to fund improvements to Newtown St Boswells

SCOTTISH Borders Council will plough around £400,000 into improving Newtown St Boswells, it was announced this week.

The local authority has committed itself to £23,000 of funding to start improvements in 2016.

And it will be followed by £43,000 the following year, and £103,000 in 2018/19.

A further £168,000 and £63,000 will come in the following two years.
