POLICE have issued an appeal for dogwalkers to keep their animals under control around Lauder.
The circular comes just days after incidents where sheep were attacked in their fields.
PC Gina Johnstone told us: "We are urging dog walkers in the Burnmill and Lauder Common areas to please keep their dogs on a lead when walking near to livestock. "Lambing season is upon us and distress can cause the sheep to abort causing significant financial loss to the farmers."
