A 62-YEAR-OLD man returned from holiday to find his property had been raided and a four-figure sum of gold jewellery had been taken from inside.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the break in at a house in Reston.

The address in Station Road was targeted by thieves sometime between Wednesday, July 2, and Sunday, July 20.

Enquiries are underway to trace those responsible and anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in the area is asked to come forward.

Chief Inspector Paula Clark said: “The homeowner is understandably very upset at the theft of his belongings and we are keen to speak with anyone who has information relevant to our enquiries.

“If you remember seeing anyone or anything suspicious in or around Station Road in the past two weeks then please contact police immediately.” Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, or alternatively the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
