WHEN Jamie Wilkinson was the subject of a court order banning him from any contact with his partner, me made her pregnant with a child due this Autumn.
The 36-year-old was jailed for a total of four months after admitting breaches of bail by not adhering to the terms of his home curfew and also being found hiding under the bed at Laura Milliken’s home in Douglas Place, Galashiels, on the night of June 12.
The bail condition had been put in place after Wilkinson of Thistle Street, Galashiels, admitted a charge of threatening or abusive behaviour on January 25 and striking the window of a car after she told him she was leaving him.
Sentence was deferred on that complaint until August 18 to clarify the contents of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report which hinted previous domestic violence which Wilkinson denied.
Defence lawyer Ross Dow said Wilkinson’s partner had wanted them back together and she had become pregnant during the period he was banned from seeing her by the bail condition.
