FRIDAY, April 24 was the last teaching day of school for senior students before their SQA exams.

The sixth years follow a time-old tradition of wearing fancy dress and although each year there are various suggestions to help celebrate the last day – the seniors always choose a similar format: fancy dress, BBQ, bouncy castle and water slides.

This year was no exception and it was great fun!

Every year the costumes get more imaginative and it’s always quite a spectacle walking into school to see ninjas, clowns, the Spice Girls, pirates from Treasure Island and the cast of Scooby Do! Period One was Social Education, when all the sixth years gathered with the management team to be presented with some fun awards and enjoy some refreshments – doughnuts always work a treat!

In next week’s news, we’ll cover a little more about the last day at EHS. So far the weather’s holding up so the 'slippy slide’ will be great fun!
