SELKIRK Rotarians paid tribute to the Bard this week with a traditional supper in the County Hotel.
The life and works of Rabbie Burns were remembered and recited during an evening of song, speech and poetry.
The customary recitations and toasts were delivered brilliantly by Alistair Pattullo, Judith Thomson, Paul Tomlinson and Irene Strafford.
And talented duo Tommy Knox and Jimmy Gibb provided plenty of music and song.
Piper for the evening Jack Houston was to his usual high standard.
But, for many, the star of the show was undoubtedly Craig Douglas, whose recital of Tam O' Shanter was world class.
Craig started to recite Burns in 1997 when he was a member of the St Andrews Society in Qatar.
Edith Scott from Selkirk Rotary Club said: "We would like to thank everyone who made our Burns Supper such a good night.
"We would also like to wish Craig well at the Tam O' Shanter world championships later this year - he is undoubtedly a serious contender."
