STYLISH Rebekah Turnbull rewarded her favourite charity with a day’s pampering.

And she raised a whopping £170 to boost their funds.

Selkirk-based Scottish HART campaigns for the introduction of life-saving defibrillators across the country as well as cardiac screeing for young sports stars.

The third-year student at Telford College in Edinburgh nominated her hometown charity as part of her course’s Pampered Day.

Rebekah raised £170.33 from her day’s hair styling, facials and manicures.

And during a week’s placement at Haircraft in Selkirk she handed over her takings to Scottish HART founder, Wilma Gunn MBE.

Wilma thanked Rebekah and Telford College for their efforts. She said: “When one knows how many students were involved and how many charities were selected for support this is a great effort by Rebekah.

“Scottish HART are delighted to accept this donation which will go towards saving lives in the community.”
