FIREFIGHTERS tackled a farm blaze outside Selkirk for almost seven hours on Monday morning.
Crews were rushed from Selkirk and Galashiels to Carterhaugh just before 3am.
And a further appliance from Galashiels was requested as flames ripped through a large agricultural shed.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “Crews were there throughout the night. After initially tackling the fire they had to remain to dampen down.” Fire crews left the farm, which is on the Bowhill Estate, at 10am.
