AN appeal has been made for teams and players to take part in a forthcoming 12-hour charity football match.
Gala Fairydean Rovers have organised the rolling half-day game for Sunday, September 27 at Netherdale.
All money raised from the game will be split between two worthwhile projects - helping Nepalese farmers recover from the terrible earthquake to shake the country and the family of a Youth Team Coach who has recently spent two weeks in the Intensive Care Unit of a Spanish Hospital. Club secretary Graeme McIver said: “We want junior and youth teams, girl’s and woman’s teams, mixed teams, disability and walking footballers, amateur teams, pub and workplace teams, groups of mates and even individuals who don’t have a team -iff we get enough we can put you all in a team.
“We will play on both the 5 aside pitch and the main pitch. We are looking for each player to either donate money or raise sponsorship to participate.”
The charity match will run from 9am to 9pm.
