GALA Fairydean Rovers Youths have given an orphanage in Ghana a kick-start with the donation of 14 footballs.
Former youth player Michael Paterson presented the balls during a visit to a village near the capital of Accra last month.
Donations the 26-year-old had been given before heading out to Africa were also used to lay the foundations of a new kitchen for the orphanage.
Some of the footballs will be used to start up a new side called Scott's Alliance.
Michael, who works as a marketing officer for British Gas, said:"They had only three footballs beforehand so giving them 14 will be a big help to the new side and orphanage.
"Thanks to Fred Blackie and the Fairydean Rovers Youths for the kind donation."
