TWEEDBANK Thistle P7s (2004 age group) had their leavers day last Saturday which included a tour round Hibernian's training complex at East Mains.

The team also enjoyed a training session with the Hibs academy coaches and then some fun on the trampolines at Ryze.

They then went on to play their last ever games for the club at the Festival of Football on Sunday and put in an outstanding performance to send them off on a high.

Coach Mike Riddell told the Border Telegraph: "Nearly all of the players have been with us since primary one and they are a cracking bunch.

"We had a great weekend - the trip to Hibernian training complex was really good and gave the players of good insight in to how the professionals do things.

"The whole team played amazing on Sunday and we are very proud of them.

"We had a big team/coaches huddle at the end of the last game which was nice and there were a few tears. We wish the players all the best for the future and hope to see them all playing for Gala Fairydean Rovers Youths next year."
