RESCOBIE Loch near Forfar was the venue for the latest outing for the Ladhope Inn Fishing Club.

Staying in Broughty Ferry on the Friday and Saturday night an excellent weekend was enjoyed by the seven member who made the journey, good food, great banter and of course a few beers.

The fishing however was disappointing with the bright sunshine making the fishing difficult. The seven anglers only managing to boat a total of 10 fish, eight rainbows and two brownies. Top man on the day was Mike Blackwood who boated four rainbows, all taken on black buzzers. John Frater was one fish behind with two rainbows and a brownie. Mike along with Dod Bryson took the honours for the boat team with five fish, Dod after losing two rainbows finally landed a nice brownie late on in the day.

Club Championship standings after seven outings : 1st Garry Wintrup 39 fish, 2nd John Frater 37, 3rd Mike Blackwood 35, 4th Tam Dalgliesh 30, 5th Frank Daly 24, 6th Dunc Taylor 17, 7th Jock Marr 16, 8th Dod Bryson 11, 9th Billy Swatton 7, 10th Davie Watt 7.
