TORWOODLEE Golf Club is launching a free hour of golf later this month to coincide with The Open.

On Friday, July 15, from 4pm to 5pm, the scheme is aimed at helping engage young people with golf as part of the national HSBC Hour initiative from the Open patron.

The initiative sees the bank team up with The Golf Foundation and ClubGolf Scotland to give thousands of young people and their families an introduction to the sport during the week of The Open.

A total of 300 clubs from across the UK will offer a minimum of one hour’s free golf or coaching between the opening of tournament week and the climax of the iconic event on Sunday, July 17).

Torwoodlee Golf Club is offering a free hour's coaching session for kids new to the game and also the opportunity for adults and families to come along and play the course for free.
