On-loan Rangers keeper Kieran Wright admits he can’t wait to pull on the gloves for his new Gala Fairydean Rovers team.

The Scottish age-group internationalist has agreed to stay at Netherdale until January before returning to Ibrox.

After watching his new club go down 3-1 against Edinburgh University, the 17-year-old said: “I sat out today’s game but I’m really looking forward to making a start with Gala.

“I’ve trained with the boys and I know they are better than what they showed today.”

Nathan Evans, Jack Guthrie and Finn Daniels-Yeomans scored for Edinburgh University to move them into eighth in the table.

Gala’s consolation was scored by Stuart Noble.
