FOOTBALLERS from Tweedbank took to the hills last week.
Once again the sun shone for Tweedbank Thistle’s annual Eildon Hill walk.
Now in its third year, the event proved to be another great success.
The walk was supported with good numbers from all age groups, encouraged along the journey by their siblings, mums, dads, grannies, granddads and a few dogs too.
Tweedbank Thistle chairperson David Moffat told the Border Telegraph: "Everyone seems to really enjoy this challenge, especially the kids who are always in a hurry to get to the top.
"It a good way to get a catch up with different parents as it’s always so hectic on training nights, and it's great exercise too. It was pleasing to see so many families, especially from the newly registered players."
There area currently around 100 players at the Tweedbank Thistle club, which continues to grow.
The money raised from the walk always helps subside great events, like the recent Box Soccer Summer camp and keep costs down.
Winter training has now started - P1s train from 5pm to 6pm on Monday nights, and P2s train from 6pm to 7pm on Monday nights both at the Queen's Centre Galashiels.
P3 to P7 train on the 3G pitch at Netherdale on Wednesday nights from 6.30pm to 8pm (P3s finish as 7.30pm).
New players of any level welcome to come along and try the fun training sessions,
