OUR Olympic and Paralympic medallists have been invited to a special reception at Buckingham Palace tomorrow, to celebrate their sporting success.
Mark Robertson, Libby Clegg and Dan Wallace all won medals in Rio for Team GB and have all been asked to join the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, the Princess Royal, the Duke of York and Princess Eugenie in London.
Mark Robertson from Melrose won silver at the Olympics in the rugby sevens event, Newcastleton sprinter Libby Clegg won two gold medals after dominating her events in the Paralympics and Swimmer Dan Wallace, who trained in the Borders, also won silver in the Olympics.
The Queen hosted a similar event in 2012 after the London games to show off our sporting talent and this year the Borders will be well represented.
