NEW Scotland manager Shelley Kerr was given the perfect send-off by her Stirling University players as they hammered Hawick 7-2 at Falkirk Stadium.

Paul MacAfferty and Lewis Bonar both scored doubles for the Students with Lewis Hunter, Andrew Gillan and Rory McEwan also on target.

A delighted Kerr said: “We knew we were finishing fourth before today’s match but we played really well and controlled the game for long periods.

Josh Morris scored both of Hawick’s consolation goals.

Champions East Kilbride were beaten by runners-up East Stirlingshire at Ochilview.

Manager Fergus said: “If the worst was to happen and the Highland team go up we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

“We have taken the lead in our last four games and only came away with a single point.”
