BORDERS para athlete Samantha Kinghorn added a bronze medal to her World Championship haul last night in London.
The 21-year-old from Gordon, who won gold in the T54 200 metres at the weekend, held on for third in the final of the 400 metres.
After a flying start, which saw Sammi take an early lead, she was pegged back over the final 150 metres by eventual winner Hongzhuan Zhou of China and runner-up Chelsea McClammer of America.
But the Borders athlete held on bravely to take third.
Samantha told the Border Telegraph: "I went all out, I pushed in the zone, and I'm just so pleased to have won a bronze to go with the gold."
Sammi is back on the track on Sunday for the heats of the 100 metres at around 11am - the final is at 12.45pm.
And her final event will be on Sunday evening - the T54 800 metres.
