AROUND 40 young wingers, centres and second-row forwards took to the Greenyards this week for Melrose Rugby's first summer camp.
Tuesday and Wednesday's sessions with several of the club's first team squad proved hugely popular with the Primary 1 to Primary 4 youngsters.
And many of them will likely return later this month (Tuesday and Wednesday, July 24 and 25) for another two-day camp.
Melrose also staged senior camps, for pupils between Primary 5 and S2 as well as Under 12 and Under 15 girls, this week and again at the end of the month.
